Suspension of the Communal Administrator of Kanyosha

In a ministerial order signed on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, by the Minister of the Interior, Community Development, and Public Security, Gervais Ndirakobuca, Mrs. Ntahomvukiye Geneviève, who was a communal administrator of Kanyosha in Bujumbura Province, was dismissed from her position.

Among the reasons advanced by the same order are a violation of the public market code; the redirection of employees’ contributions to the INSS and the MFP; and a violation of the administrative and financial procedures manual.

It should be noted that Mrs. Genevieve extends the list of other administrators suspended from their functions after the observation by the President of the Republic, Evariste Ndayishimiye, that there are some administrative officers who are embarking, in recent days, on the activities of embezzlement and diversion of public affairs.
